I recently had the opportunity of seeing Jerry Seinfeld live, performing at the MGM Hotel in Foxwoods, CT. Before starring in his own sitcom in the ’90s, Jerry was a renown stand-up comedian, appearing often on the Tonight show (during the Johnny Carson days). So after his TV series end in 1998, Jerry set about getting married and having a family but came back out of “retirement” in the last few years to tour the comedy circuit again.
As a newly minted husband and father of three, he described his relationship with his wife as being the “major league” as compared to the comparatively “easy” relationships he enjoyed as a bachelor. To summarize this status change, Jerry said “All men are looking for from a woman is what they want out of a pair of underwear: a little support and a little freedom.”
As do management consultants.
